these statistics would be a lot more meaningful if you added a "games played"- column...but thanks anyway

Can you tell me the source of these stats? I'm especially interested in the key passes. Thanks.

I record them myself, I don't think any data collection organisations record objective stats like "key passes". I think they're useful to assess overall contribution to goals, some players are notorious for playing incisive passes which don't always end up directly assistsing the goal (e.g. Hleb and his "pre-assists"). I also like to apply a bit of common sense when awarding assists, I didn't give one to Theo against Blackburn for instance, and I gave a 3rd to Fabregas for the pass to Koscielny, even though ESPN/Premier League didn't award it.
Man, that's a lot of work!

I agree with you about the importance of "common sense" in awarding assists or goals for that matter. I also agree that the key pass is an important stat. It's unfortunate that it isn't measured officially. I think that's mainly due to the subjective nature of this. Some might consider a pass to be key pass, others might not.

Have you done this for all seasons? Fantastic effort.
At the moment no, but I'm hoping to have a complete record up since the 97/98 season some day...
