Wow, I guess the team's dependence on Cesc is very clearly illustrated. It also illustrates the potential impact of RvP who created the second most chances on a per game basis. And I have to say that I'm not too surprised that Bendtner, despite all the stick he receives, contributed quite a bit. In fact, on average, better than Arshavin! NB52 is a talented forward who's learning his trade. Against Huddersfield, despite playing on the wing, he consistently made excellent runs and got himself into goal scoring positions. Sure he missed and I admit I was extremely frustrated by this. More importantly, he has the ability, instinct and understanding of the game to get himself into those great positions. Goals will come if he continues to create opportunities.

Yes, although if van Persie hadn't been out so long I believe the team wouldn't have had to rely on Fabregas so much in an attacking sense. Both are world class players whose link up-play with each other and with teammates elevates the team from a good one to a great one. Notice the amount of 3+ goal victories with these 2 in the team together, and the comparative edgy wins/draws without.

A shocking statistic that's evident above is that only 2 players managed to play 40+ games all season, not even the keeper managed it. Within the PL, only 2 players managed 30 or more games. This is simply not acceptable, and although I think the back-up players performed admirably (which other teams could have maintained a title challenge in such circumstances?), the injury situation needs reviewing. Something is clearly wrong fitness-wise, whether's it do with having a young squad, or maybe the physical stresses that the playing style exerts on the players, or even poor fitness management (rushing players back from injury, poor training methods etc.)
Regarding Bendtner, I believe he did do well individually, but the team seemed to struggle when he was playing as the CF. The reason for this I believe is that this Arsenal system is built around the concept of having a false 9 as the lead striker, and when you put a more traditional centre forward in there, then the system becomes less fluid. The result of this is that the team scores less goals on average, while the centre forward himself may not necessarily struggle because he's functioning as a typical point man who receives constant service inside the box.

This is why IMO Bendtner seemed to be scoring crucial late goals and equalisers, when in fact you could argue that the reason these sorts of situations arose were because of Bendtner's effect on the team itself - he made it less fluid and was quite profligate in front of goal, so when he eventually did score it would seem as if he was bailing Arsenal out.
Now of course we have to take into account that quite a few of Bendtner's games were during a period where the team was riddled with injuries and was likely to be struggling anyway, but IMO some of the performances with Eduardo and Arshavin at CF were better and they too had to perform under similar circumstances.

I think Bendtner has potential to become a very good plan B for this Arsenal side (better than Chamakh) but needs to improve on his consistency technique-wise, I find it infuriating that he is capable of scoring goals like the one he did against Ipwich, but at other times cannot even connect with a simple ball into the box and ends up swinging at air.

what happened to all of Rosicky's key passes? They seem to have disappered and he's on 3 goals for some reason when he's only scored 1???
